They were given help by the Scottish Sub Aqua Club and commenced their pool training in Motherwell Pool under the guidance of the Motherwell Branch of SSAC. In 1962 they joined SSAC as the Bathgate Branch of the Scottish Sub Aqua Club, itself formed only 10 years earlier - the first training organisation for Sport Diving in Scotland and the UK. We have started to assemble the history of the Branch in words and pictures. We will be grateful to receive any photographs, diving or membership details from the years of the Branch's existence.
