Thursday 30 September

We set off a day earlier than usual because we are celebrating our 10th anniversary of these bi-annual trips and what better way to celebrate that to have an extra day's diving.

But first some of us had a dive at Lochside Cottages on Loch Leven on a calm afternoon. The highlight was a beautiful Megrim, Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis, found at 30 m below the bay.
Megrim

After fish suppers in Mallaig we headed across to Doune on a calm sea. Waiting for us in the chalet was this beautiful and tasty welcome cake.

Once again we had a wonderful time thanks to all at Doune, particularly Skipper Andy Tibbets and the MV Mary Doune - the damn best boat in the trade, and if Dougie was here he would say so himself.
