Another wonderful weekend's diving with Skipper Andy Tibbets on the MV Mary Doune. We arrived on Friday 26th September and 3 of us managed to fulfil a long standing ambition by diving in the little bay at the pier on a night dive. |

After lunch on the pier at Inverie we went back to recover the shot line. Somehow the knot attaching the buoys to the shot had been mysteriously undone, possible a miracle by the plastic madonna just across the loch. The skipper's eagle eyes soon spotted the buoys miles up the loch and they were easily recovered. This left the more important shot to find. Andy has had the shot with him on Mary Doune for many years and was distraught at the idea that his old scrap weight would be lost. Step up the recovery heroes of WLSAC - again. In less time than it took to write this, the shot and its rope were re-united with their grateful owner and we got on with the day out. The exhausted divers, Boyd, Gordon and Jack rested between their dives.
The second dive was on a lump of reef off the Point of Sleat and then it was back to Doune for another superb dinner in the restaurant. |
