28 Dec Diving on a beautifully calm but cold day at Lephinchapel, Loch Fyne.
20 Dec Committee Meting and Sport Diver lectures at the Community Centre followed by Pool Training.

17 Dec We recover at home in a darkened room from Friday night's excesses.
16 Dec Bad Santa and all the gang celebrated the Xmas Bash in traditional style at the Livingston Ramada. Great food; dancing all night - just as well there was a day to recover before the Xmas Dive.

22 Nov Sport Diver lectures followed by Pool Training.
20 Nov Diving and training at Furnace Quarry, Loch Fyne. First open water dives for Stevie Pirie. Back at a site we haven't been to since July 2000.
15 Nov Pool Training.
13 Nov

Boat Dives out of Eyemouth on the MV North Star were cancelled due to gales on the east coast so we headed across to the west and dived at Finnart Pier, Loch Long with what seemed to be half of central Scotland's training divers.

30 Oct A group of 6 (now 8) of the club are in the Southern Red Sea.

27 Oct Graham and Henry are 'bombed' by a seal during a night dive at the Caves, Loch Long. It was using their torch light to enable it to hunt for fish around them for 30 minutes. It first appeared at 32 m and stayed with them right up to the surface. How scary was that then?

Diving at the 12.9 Mile Mark, Loch Fyne. It rained all day long, but coupled with a strong south westerly breeze at least the midges were kept at bay.

13/14 August

Two days diving from the Peter Gibson's MV Selkie out of St. Abbs. We dived the Black Carr and the Skellys on the Saturday and the Black Carr and West Hurker on the Sunday. Lots of life especially Wolf Fish and Octopus and good visibility made for four splendid dives. Diving with Peter is always great fun!

Boat Dives out of Eyemouth on the MV North Star. The sea was up a bit so we were restricted in our options so dived the Wuddy Rocks and Black Carr off St. Abbs.

2 excellent boat dives on Peter Gibson's boat, the MV Selkie, out of St. Abbs. We dived the Pinnacles and Skellys Hole and although the water temperature was on 7 deg C we had great diving on a lovely sunny day.

09/10 April Another splendid weekend at Knoydart on the MV Mary Doune.
On the Saturday we dived the wreck of the HMS Port Napier in the morning and in the afternoon thrilled to the rush of the current through the drift in the Kyle Rhea narrows.
After another lovely meal and a good night's sleep we were off on the Sunday morning for two superb dives at Island Rock and Red Point in Loch Hourn.

A superb day out diving from the MV Silver Swift. We headed down from Oban and dived on Anderson Reef in the Firth of Lorne and Eagle Rock on the Garvellachs. Beautiful weather added to wonderful visibility and lots of rare and unusual invert life on these remote reefs.

27 February The BDO was at the BDO's Conference learning how to be a better BDO. We can expect improvements all round then!
22 February

trigger fishThe AGM was held at the Community Centre. Another successful year for the Branch. The new Committee was elected. We also handed out some awards and looked at some slides - click on the image left for more details.

The annual levy remains at £40.00 for all existing members. A new member will be charged £75.00 in their first year, £55.00 in their second year and £40.00 thereafter. Charges for kit hire remain unchanged. Children's admission to the pool is increased to £1.00.

  Diving and training on a beautiful frosty day at Lochside Cottages, Loch Leven. When we arrived we were lucky to see an adult otter hunting around the shore, in and out of the water, around the old slate docks.
