30 Nov Committee meeting, Sport Diver lectures and Pool Training. Tonight we said farewell, for a while, to Peter Amos. Peter who has become a fixture at the club since he joined 3 years ago is off on a jaunt round the world. He is away on 1 Dec to Singapore, then on to Bali for some diving, Fiji and then back home to Australia for a while. We hope to hear from him during his travels and will keep you up to date when we do. Meanwhile he can be contacted at Peter Amos (walkaboutpeter@hotmail.com).

Night diving at Stallion Rock, Loch Fyne and diving at Loch Etive. There are huge numbers of little Devonshire Cup Corals, Caryophyllia smithii, on the reefs at depth in Loch Etive. Here is one of them.

A day on the MV Ocean Star out of St. Abbs. A good turnout of 18 divers enjoyed a variety of excellent dives on the MV Glanmire, Black Carr etc. etc.

Diving and training at Lochside Cottages, Loch Leven. A peaty fresh water layer on the surface produced this greenish glow with large Pollack, Pollachius pollachius, among the kelp.

Diving and training at Kenmore Point, Loch Fyne. A calm overcast day revealed that the midges are back with a vengeance. The Rock Goby, Gobius paganellus, to the left was one of several seen in cracks in the reef. This is probably a male in dark colouration common when guarding eggs.

The RondoA day's diving on the MV Sea Otter out of Dunstaffnage. The morning dive was on the wreck of the Rondo, see left , in the Sound of Mull followed by a drift along Ardtornish Cliff and into the bay on the afternoon ebb tide.

The AGM was held at the Community Centre. Another successful year for the Branch. The new Committee was elected. Common Goby, Pomatoschistus microps, by Jim Anderson. We also handed out some awards and looked at some slides - click on the image left for more details. The annual levy remains at £40.00 along with charges for kit hire. Under 18's can now get their kit hire at half-price.
