MV Mary Doune
27/28 September 03

Another fabulous weekends diving on the Mary Doune with Skipper Andy Tibbets at the helm.

Saturday 27 September.

The first dive was on the south side of Rubh an Dunain on the west coast of Skye. A fabulaous stepped reef down to 40m+, covered in life including many Cuckoo Wrasse such as this one below. The pale blue bars on the face of this female shows she is in the process of changing into a male.

The rocky islet of An Dubh Sgeir off the west coast of Skye, complete with Sea Eagle. This was the site of our second dive on the Saturday.

Another superb dinner back at Doune was followed by a trip across the Loch to Inverie to the Inn for a couple of pints, then on to the village hall for a bit of a dance, all to help raise funds for local kid Coll. Then back under a star filled sky to bed.

Sunday 28 September

Two dives in Loch Hourn at Red Point, with superb viz and shoals of fish in the morning and Ellice Shoal after lunch. Not such good viz but at least Martin and Jim got to see a nice John Dory. John Dory by Jim Anderson

Thanks to all at Doune for another great weekend. See you all in 2004.
