Sub Aqua Club
40th Anniversary Ceilidh

120 members, their families and friends gathered at Houston House, Uphall on the night of 23 November 2003 to celebrate together the 40th anniversary of the Branch's entry into the Scottish Sub Aqua Club in 1963. Dinner, speeches, wreck building and destroying, a terrific free raffle, dancing and general fun made an unforgettable evening whiz away until it was to soon time to go home.
The Scottish Sub Aqua Club Chairman, Ken Smith, our principal guest of honour, congratulates the Branch on reaching their 40th year. He was followed by our other guest, Jack Morrisson, Editor of Scottish Diver who spoke with great feeling and humour of the Branch history. Following Jack's speech the wrecks were judged by Ken who awarded first and only prize (a bottle of whisky donated by Brian Hopkirk) to the winning team.
The evenings entertainment was concluded with traditional dancing, and some other stuff, to the Callanish Ceilidh Band.
Below are those at their table just prior to the submission of the wrecks for judging.
Note: Diving was cancelled on the Sunday!
