The two Chris's made us welcome and we stowed our gear on the rear deck and were off on a gray morning out into the Firth of Lorne. Tea, coffee and Beefy Bovril charged our batteries during the 2 hours 30 minute run down over calm seas to the Garvellachs. We dived Eagle Rock, drifting along the rock face on the ebbing tide surrounded by an incredible number of wrasse - huge Ballans but mostly Cuckoo Wrasse. There must have been a Cuckoo Wrasse convention at the Garvellachs this weekend . Any way, after an hour it was back aboard via the easy ladders and stern platform and round to the east side to fill our cylinders and enjoy lunch. We motored back up the Firth to Insh Island for our second dive. We dived the south west face down to the point and again were in wrasse country. The visibility was a little poorer here but we still managed 50+ minutes and all agreed it had been a super dive. This was another great day and we will certainly be looking to book the Sea Otter again. Thanks to Chris 1 and Chris 2 and to Anne Potter for organising the trip.
